I've posted one or two of my instrumentals on here before, I hope to get a little more feedback this time. I have a great feeling about this beat, if you're a fan of 90's east-coast hip-hop in particular, you'll probably love it. Be as honest and detailed as your can with your critique. "The Dusk" http://www.soundclick.com/bands/pagemusic.cfm?bandID=468814 UPDATE: I made a remix with this beat and an acapella from Big Pooh of Little Brother, PEEP THIS ONE! (click on the above link) Tell me how you think it sounds!
dude i seriously think you could sell that beat up north maybe even down here if you find the right artist but i really like the beat man even i could flow over that shit it was so smooth to me it sounded like a WU-TANG beat i bet ghostface or raekwon would dig it
As a huge fan of the 90's East Coast Hip Hop scene, this beat is some heat. Most def some ill shit, just real grimey, fuckin dope g, keep it up.
yeh man i quite like that beat, you're going the right way I dont know howto 'judge' it tho, i either like it or dont
dudes in the A wont feel it they like the shitty hip pop feel.. but this is hot if you from up north.
reminds me of a song that ODB would sing, its pretty chill though, spit some fire and record something over it now, lol, peace
I'm def. down with this... just been chillin to it for a little while Defintely remidns me of 90s east coastr like someone else said... a little like ATCQ I think
What program did you use, Friuty Loops? I use reason and my drum machine, then record it on to nuendo. Do you use turntables? If you do, does it give it that extra sound? Or do you think it isnt totally nessecary.
^Yep, I use Fruity Loops 5 and an Axiom 25 midi controller. I do own turntables, but not for beat-making purposes. If you're talking about that vinyl crackling I have going on, it's just a sample I found.
Seriously nice work, man. Have you heard the album "Made Into Itself" by Leaf? It's more trip- than hip-hop, and packs some thick, dusty beats. I'm sure you'd dig it.
