Possible to save un-used soil mix?

  1. If you made a big mix of soil, say 60% potting mix, 30% steer manure compost, 10% peat moss. And you had extra after potting, is it possible to save the UNUSED clean soil untill the next cycle? Or is that too long to wait?

Its not like soil is THAT expensive, but im just curious.

  2. think you can just leave it seald so pests dont get in there.

(because otherwise soil would have to be constantly removed from shelfs for not being used and replaced with fresh bags)

  3. Its still wet-ish, like as wet as potting soil is. I just wasnt sure if it would rot or something.

  4. should be fine. think of it as composting even further... cant really hurt. Dirt is Dirt

    :)
