Hey all, I'm on the east coast and we're supposed to get a wicked hurricane tomorrow. My girls are at least a week or 2 from harvest. Any advise if I lose power tomorrow as far as leaving them alone or chopping early? If power goes out it may be for a while. I don't have a generator and all stores are sold out.
Ya... just don't worry about it. Really. They are in flowering now so actually..if you do a little research you will find that having less light at the end of the flowering cycle is great for plants (correction, great for the formation of nice sticky buds, less so for the plants). IF you run a hydro system... well that is different. No pump power is a tough one to fix and I am not a hydro guy so can't help you there. Again, its not ideal with two weeks left of flowering but less light or no light for a few days won't really harm a flowering plant in SOIL... more than 12 hours of light is a problem but less than 12 hours is no biggie unless it lasts for a really really long time! Hope that helps. The Idiott.
I was wondering about this too. I have a little PC tower grow going and shes in flower right now. I do have a few options but I was thinking I can always stick her in a window or something to at least get some light should it happen. We are more inland than other areas and may not get hammered too badly but Im still worried! Lets hope all goes well.
Sorry, I should've mentioned they're autos in coco. Thanks for the reassurance. No I can focus on keeping my reef tanks alive. Stupid hurricane.
Luckily my house was one of the few that didn't lose power thankfully! I appreciate all the input and positive vibes. Bring on the harvest!
