first time post on grasscity so here goes, little while ago i noticed the sides of the leaves yellowing but the middle of them staying green and also the little lines that go out to the serrated edges are green too. then it got a bit more yellow an the one of the right got some little brown spots. so then i gave em a nute watering but i think i did it wrong cause 2 perked back in colour cept the other 2 so now i mixed up a new nute batch an gotta wait til they're thirsty til i can give it to them thou. heres some pics incase any of you guys know what def. it could be. an yes i know one of em is male ahah but the first picture is of the plant on the right (the one with the spots and got it bad), it was kinda taken at the same angle so its easy to tell. cheers to any support
only when its dry, an the soil is from sungro, no nutes in the soil when i got it thou just cant remember the name on the side of the bale we had. also movin em to a bigger pot next water but i think the prob with the two is a potassium def. but i dont really know the spots an yellowing is getting worse thou... just wish they'd drink the water already so i can give em the nutes they need
So u said ur using soil with no nutes. So do u mean that your using straight peat moss? If so then that's why they need food after time. Transplant to bag of fox farm
Sunshine Mix #4 - Aggregate Plus | Sunlight Supply, Inc. - Indoor Gardening Supplies, Grow Lights, Hydroponics, and Lighting tracked down the soil an thats it right there, an well when they started off two of em were shorter an i had to move the light up for the taller ones so the 2 shorter ones stretched a bunch at that one node set. but the lights just been an inch away or so since the short ones filled in the gap, only a 42w cfl as well since i need a ballast for my 150w an 250w hps. they only got their first nute watering 2 waters ago
It's the soil. Zero nutrients in your so and your babies are starting to become hungry which is why they are starting to deficiencies. Did u get that whole bale for 2 plants? I would recommend you get a bag of fox farm ocean Forrest or roots organic and transplant ASAP. They are only going to get worse
naah we got a bunch of bales of that soil from this grow house our contruction company cleaned up awhile ago, an i knew there wasnt any nutes in the soil so thats why i've been giving them nute watering inbetween normal waters. the nutes i got is a 3 part one, its by advanced nutrients, Mirco, Grow and bloom the mircos npk is 4-0-0, grow is 1-1-6 an blooms is 0-5-4, more or less took 4ml from all 3 for every 1000ml. but yeah im transplanting them into 6-1/2" pots rather than the 3-1/8" ones they are in now. but before i transplant i should be getting that foxfarm stuff instead of transplantin em into more of this soil?
FFOF has enough nutrients to sometimes kill a seedling or young sprout. But is pretty good if using the right type of perlite to mix it with. Look up the organic soil mixes they have in organic growing Sections, I know they have a badass thread that everybody is listing their soil recipes and some use FFOF soil in their mix. Check it out
well yeah thats exactly why i have soil that didnt have any nutes, cause i didnt want no stress on the little youngins once they sprouted. unfortunately i was a little late when i started giving them nutes, they were already on their 5th node set but for the sungro mix4 would that be good for transplanting them into a bigger pot? as long as i keep giving the nute waterings inbetween normal waters?
