I have posted in sick plants as well but I have very specific questions about a few remedies that might be out their a bit CO2 suffocation, UV light, could a chilled resevoir/root system kill growth Been reading a long time. Finally had a problem and joined so I could post. hydro ebb flo indoor 15 gal res 6 plants 4 strains sog that is leveled by yo-yos and bending main buds in a 10"-14" thick canopy plants about 36" high fast growers were trained and are quite dense 1 week from flush and staggered harvest (they vary in maturity over about 10 days so I top feed plants if needed, use hand held micro to choose harvest point) 400 w HPS air cooled Lumatek MH HPS switchable ballast ro water 3 floods a day CO2 set at 1500 from cylinders Carbon air filters closed circulation Supernatural Brand Aqua nutes also using a gen hydro flowering/fruiting bloom addative I am 7 +- days from flush and am looking for "what would you do personally" suggestions to remedy the problem. Mold on Grodan rockwool under coco mats used to block light on top of rockwool. Very small greyish dots clustered together on top and top of the sides of the Grodan. Also at the base of two of the plants are a white patch that looks as though it were "furry". I cannot do pictures as the lights in the room color the mold unrecognizable. I have never had mold or pest issues before so I have no practical experience diagnosing them. I always try to keep my room and tents empty and as clean as i can. I have looked throughout the forums and seen a lot of pictures and have done my best to narrow my problem down to powdery mildew or gray/brown mold. I have also referenced the Marijuana Garden Saver, and the Medical Growers Bible among others books and forums. Any suggestions would be appreciated. These are some of the possibilities I am researching Using OMNI or other organic products is preferred being so close to flush. Would UV lights kill it? Could I CO2 overdose it? Use of SM90 (contains Triethanolamine supposed to be great against mold)? Could chilling my reservoir inhibit growth or kill what is present. I will post pictures if i can figure out how to light it so it can be seen. Thanks in advance
Sounds like the humidity is way to high. Need to get fans going to move around and lower the temp. You need a fresh supply of air comming in and stale air going out at all times. Having a hard time visulizing your GR, but sounds like your plants should have went to flowering when they were 2 foot tall. I would shut down the co2 until you get the humidity under control and start again when you flower. Don't start flowering till this is done, or your flowers will probably get ruined from mold. I would also completely flush the system and start afreshh maintaining a stable(crucial) ph balance. The soner this can be done and into flowering the better off you will be. If your plants look healthy and the roots are white you are probably OK. Next time you grow use a larger(double that size) reservoir. More solution is easier to stabilize balance ph, salt buildup and ppm of nutrients. FYI I find rokwool is a good medium, but hard to use if inexperienced. You might want to think about hydron pebble medium.....Good Luck!!
