Possible Grow Light please help

    I have a light hanging up outside of a storage shed at my house and its circular and the bulb looks like a hps light and it puts off a blueish greenish spectrum when i turn it on it changes shades of colors until its "warmed up" think i could use this light to grow with?

    got any pictures?
    take a closer look and tell us how many watts it is. it should say it on there somewhere

    HPS would give an orangish warm toned light. Its probably either MH or mercury vapor.

    mercury vapor lamps are pink when cold.
    I'm betting its MH then.

    if it is infact a mv or mh yea
    sounds like mh though
