Possible damp buds?

    I just purchased an oz of different bud without a name and it looks really dark, no visible crystals and has barely got a nice strong smell
    I tried it last night and it was great, a real indica feeling almost instantly which was weird because from first look they look like crappy buds?
    Do you think they could still be a bit wet? They are quite squishy
    Otherwise unsure why they look so dull
    Have put some pictures up to compare to the OG
    The og is on the left and the very last picture

    If they seem wet leave them out for 8-24 hrs then throw them in a mason jar with lid. As you open the jar to pull a bud out it’ll continue to cure them.

    It's kind of hard to tell if buds are damp by looking at a picture.

    Damp weed especially this time of year as humidity increases everywhere can be an issue. That and the fact that a lot of the time the weed is rushed to market without properly being dried and cured and this happens with some dispensaries also. That would be the reason for lack of smell and dampness. Other than that the bud looks dank to me. Looks can be deceiving when it comes to bud. Some of my most favorite strains were buds that were no wheres near appealing. I bet if you look at those buds with a magnified lighted scope w you will see tons of crystals as I can see them now with just the naked eye.
