Hey guys I'm currently at week 7 in flower on my first grow. I have 2 plants (Royal Gorilla auto) I had some problem with over feeding or a nutrient lockout 1,5 weeks ago, where i flushed it using advanced nutrients flawless finish, after this i reduced the amount of nutrients i used by 25%, and the plants seemed to started growing rapidly again But today i noticed a little bit of purple tint on one of the colas.. :'( That specific cola, and a couple of others have some rather wierd sugar leaves with brown spots on, but i'm not sure if that has to do with the earlier nutrient lockout or if its bud rot I cut off that cola, to investigate but i'm really not sure what i should be looking for The first pictures is the cola i ended up cutting down I tried my best to get a picture of the purple spot, but its hard to with my phone. The last pictures are just behind the spot with purple, to see if it was going all the way through, which it doesn't seem like, but there are some "dots" that i have no clue is suppose to be there or not Hopefully a more seasoned grower can help me out, because i'm loosing my mind! Also when i look at the seed manufactures webpage, it does have a purple tint on the the main picture, but all the users uploaded pictures just seem to be green Cheers!
I dont see rot at all, purps is just genetics and zooming in those look really close to ready to harvest.
Ohh i'm so relieved!!! I'm getting a 60x-100x microscope tommorow, so i can determine exactly when i should harvest, but i think i'm gonna start a 3 day flush tommorow, because i did have the overfeeding issues earlier (i know some people says this is a myth, there for i'm "only" doing it 3 days instead of a week... - Best of both worlds i suppose ? >.<) Do you have any input on this ? Also thanks alot for the quick reply, 420 brother ! <3
Non here either ...lucky! use neem oil to prevent it but you are far in... almost harvest so I'd avoid just now good luck
Usually one of the indications of bud rot is when a small sugar leaf turns completely yellow overnight and easily pulls out. If you bend the bud right at that spot you will see brown rot.
