See, this President doesn't change his mind very easily; he can't be convinced that the course he's following is a wrong one. He has to be so totally and completely beaten over the head with the harsh reality of things that the conclusion is inescapable.

    Mores the pity…

America </ST1:pis at the crossroads so ask yourself where you stand and why. It doesn't matter how flawed the logic was that got us into Iraq</ST1:p, or the shifting rationale, or the “swift boating” of its opponents. What is of paramount importance is that American soldiers are being left in the meat grinder for a policy that is utterly bereft of reason.

There's no illusion now, the terrorist are not the reason so much blood is being spilled, it's a Goddamn civil war over there and everyone knows it except the man that has absolute control over the military, the President of the United States</ST1:p. This situation is more complex and deep than just name calling Mr. Bush. What I find so ghastly is that Americans elected him twice even though he is by far and away the worst President that ever lived. For the sake of our collective fears an incompetent tyrant was put into the oval office and to the detriment of our service people he is unwilling to see beyond the voices in his cabinet.

Our sojourn in the <ST1:pMiddle East </ST1:pis now tantamount to murder. Our men and women in uniform are being murdered by their Commander in Chief with the full complicity of governed.

At his latest and most incompetent press conferences Mr. Bush ceded that the war is not going well but simultaneously admitted that his generals on the ground are now "a voice" among many and not the sole voices of recommendation. He's seriously considering sending more men and women into harms way without a plan. These are not the wise ministrations of a world leader; rather they're the actions of a corrupt and paranoid criminal. The war is lost. The war is lost; the cause of Democracy is hopeless to those that do not wish it. Let's bring these brave soldiers home safely. It's time the President stop using their precious blood to cover up a myriad of his sins and ours.

How many more have to die before he listens.

"The most effectual means of preventing [the perversion of power into tyranny are] to illuminate, as far as practicable, the minds of the people at large, and more especially to give them knowledge of those facts which history exhibits, that possessed thereby of the experience of other ages and countries, they may be enabled to know ambition under all its shapes, and prompt to exert their natural powers to defeat its purposes."

    ~Thomas Jefferson~

    Stay green.
