Any thought on whether or not porch screening would be a safe screen to use in a socket piece? I have a big roll and it would be nice because it can be cut however you want...
If its metal then just wash it then heat it up red hot then wash it again and it'll b fine. If its plastic ur a retard
A lot of them have a plastic covering even if they're metal. Make sure you burn it nice. Better off buying a pack of screens though, you get 100 for like 5 bucks.
Try it out, hit it with a lighter and see if it burns. It's not really the best quality either way though. If it is all metal it would do in a pinch I suppose. Some people use a tiny smooth pebble. You could also get a glass screen they last for a while.
