Popularity of online forums?

    How popular are online forums in your group of friends? Are they aware that they exist? Do they participate?

    Not a single friend.

    Maybe two of them in a philosophy forum but that's it.

    They all laugh at me and say I'm retarded for using a marijuana forum and I'm going to get caught

    i talk bout this forum but far as i know i dont know anyone personally who uses any forum but i never really asked

    Yeah, some kid was at my apartment tonight and was shocked to discover there was a forum for stoners, don't now if he knows the extent to which online forums exist. I didn't pursue the matter but thats what brought about the thread

    Yeah that is kind of a goofy reason to not jin a forum I guess

    True, it does not come up much in my day to day conversations either

    I only have one other friend whos into forums with me. Other than that, all my other friends dont/arent into or aware of forums like we are.

    I'm the only one of my friends who really uses them, but since I'm a nerd and all my friends are nerds they at least know about some of the more infamous ones like 4chan, SA, etc. Unfortunately they would rather spend their time polluting my news feed with terrible 9gag jokes.
