Poppy question

  1. Wasn't sure where to put this question.

Anyhow, I was wondering something about growing poppies indoors.

I realize their vegetative light cycle is 12/12 and flowering 18/6, the opposite of MJ. However, what about the light spectrum?

Should the 12/12 vegetative cycle be done with the blue light spectrum also used for the vegetative cycle of MJ, or the red spectrum used in the MJ flowering cycle? Same with the poppy flowering cycle. Which spectrum is used for which cycle?

    TIA.

  2. Definitely not on a website dedicated exclusively to growing marijuana...

  3. I quite agree,

but to answer his question, it would be the same.
    12/12 = redish orange
    and 18+ light = blue.

The spectrum is to do with the angle of the sun at the time of year.

I hear it take a lot of poppies to get enough opium to get a single hit. 16 i think (i'm probably wrong), have you read up on it?

  4. what the fuck?

  5. My apologies if this is a taboo subject or something. They're just plants.

I've seen quite a few posts about 'em on the forum as well as seen some pics of people growing them.

    Not a big deal.

    Thanks for the info.
