I hear about people saving there food scraps to use as compost, but do you guys know anything like that, that I could use as a fertilizer or some sort?
you can buy cheap fertilizer on your local hardware store for like 5$ a pop. You can probably spend 5 to 10$ on nutes right?
you have to let the scraps actually compost outside first before you can use them and that will just give you fertile soil. not actual fertilizer
schultz 10-15-10 is a good, cheap all purpose fertilizer. You'll probably have more luck w/ that than trying to cobble together a well rounded fert from household waste.
Compost is the best pormans fert but like the previous poster pointed out you need time to let that break down (turns rite back into dirt its freakin awsome)
yeah worm castings it takes some time, but you can do it in a bucket about as expensive as a handful of worms
