Growing marijuana is probably one of the smartest things to do because you are getting free supply to weed and also it's inexpensive compared to buying it on the streets. It could be prettey expensive to start growing to grow a good amount of bud but you can make it inexpensive and yield okay amounts of bud. Seeds Get any seeds you can get. Seeds from baggies, anything. If you can't find any seeds then you can buy some seeds at SeedBoutique.com for 15 bucks. Gte the Nirvana or Mandala strains though. Pots Use the 5 gallon water bottles, coke bottles, but put holes in the bottom for drainage and you should also paint the bottles black because the light would damage the roots. Lights CFLs... They are very cheap and you can find them on eBay for like $1.50 each light and I'm talking about CFLs that give out more than 1500 lumens. Soil You can microwave top soil from outside or just go to a gardening store and buy some there and also buy pearlite for like 10-20 bucks for a good, heavy amount. Wiring Go to the dollar store and you'll find outlets for like 5 bucks and they can hold about 8 sockets at once and can hold up to like 5,000 watts. Find old lamps with the sockets that fit regular light bulbs. Cut the cords and tape them back together how they were normally attached with electrical tape. I suggest using a marker to mark which wire matches which. DON'T CUT ANY WIRES OR MAKE THE COPPER WIRES TOO LONG BECAUSE IT WILL CAUSE A ELECTRICAL SPARK WHICH COULD CAUSE A MINOR EXPLOSION... Fan Go to Kmart or Target and buy one for like 5 bucks the ones that rotate. Odor Control Insence or a bowl of vinegar which runs around free-8 bucks. Nutes Go to your local gardening store and find some nutrients for about 10 dollars each. Altogether you'll spend around $40-$60 depending on how you get you stuff. Just think creatively and you'll save more money.

That's a pretty nifty guide man. Maybe I'll look into it pretty soon. I've been thinking of whether or not to start a grow I just don't want to throw down alot of money. Maybe this solved my answer. I'm still trying to take up as much as possible off of reading previous grow journals and grow guides here on the city. Still trying to learn as much as possible before I undergo my first grow. Cutting and reattatching the wire dosnt sound that safe. At home depot they sell just the plug, with screws. So if you have to cut the wire cut it at the very end,by the plug. Then attatch the plug you bought, after you have removed the lamp. +rep for putting this together.
Vinegar would work very well. it doesn't absorb the skunky smell but masks it with a shitty smell so if you want to neutralize the smell get some of the laundry sheets and tape a bunch around the door of your grow room, near your ligthing source, on random spots on the walls, etc.
