I can understand it being for what it claims to be for, but the internet is supposed to be free to all. I hope this kinda crap doesn't happen in america...they're already trying to get providers to tell us what we can and can't look at...so we would have to subscribe to channels of material...>_< Maybe you'll get lucky and a proxy will help.
Oh yeah, it'll be easy to get around. But for your average casual internet user they won't really know how. Great Firewall of China ring a bell? Information censorship is bullshit. They've got some pretty high hopes if they actually think it'll do anything effective.
They have already done stuff like that in America. Online gambling? Child porn? That stuff isn't allowed on American hosted sites. It says they're only blocking illegal sites. Every country has its own laws, why shouldn't they be enforced on the internet too? You think child porn sites should be allowed to run?
Censorship of any form is lame. If governments get control of the internet, we'll end up losing more freedoms tbh and losing valuable information. That's all.
