I always liked desktops better, but when I got a laptop I fell in love. They're so awesome, I love em when I'm in bed.
Laptop lol I owned a desktop for 7 years and wanted to kill myself everytime I used it but now that I bought this laptop I like it much better.
I own a desktop but I prefer laptops for their portability. The bad thing about laptops is they have less memory and things like that.
Question: Can you add ram to your laptop? Mine only has 1 gig and it hasn't given me any problems yet but I have to transfer 21 gigs of music to this shit and I don't want it to slow down. Oh and what are some good wireless routers? I also need one so that I won't have to deal with all these fucking cables everywhere lol.
I have a linksys. It's great. Make sure it's wireless N. And you should be able to add ram. Can you post a link to link to best buy or something of your laptop?
HP 530 Laptop Computer KP496AT - Intel Core Duo T2400 1.83GHz, 802.11a/b/g Wireless, 1GB DDR2, 160GB HDD, DVDRW, 15.4" WXGA, Windows Vista Business at TigerDirect.com Bought it at TigerDirect.
I have a Dell Studio laptop Way better than a desktop in my opinion. Takes up less space, portable, it's all one piece... Fits my needs anyway
Yup, you can expand it to 2GB of RAM Take it to best buy and have geek squad do it. This is my baby. Sony Vaio fw. 2.20GHZ Core 2 duo, 6GB RAM and an ATI Radeon 4650 HD.
About $30.00 for the extra stick. You already have 1GB, so you only have to buy 1GB to have 2GB. They might charge for instillation though. But I would get geek squad to do it for sure, unless you know how to. Just bring it to best buy, and tell em you want more ram. They should hook you up.
Desktop, but only if you build it. That way you can upgrade pretty much everything. I also run dual monitors, a bit tricky to do that with a laptop. I also like mice. Laptops are still awesome though, having your shit with you is always good. but for everyday use, desktop.
same but opposite every laptop ive ever had sucked ass. the first time i turned on my last laptop it said it was turned off wrong, what the fuckkkkk?
you assume right. i deffinatly want a good laptop, just because there so easy. youtube on the shitter FTW. i really want a mac book, those things seem to never get slow.
I prefer desktop machines because it is easy to swap out parts, update it to a new configuration, and biuld it with my own two hands. Yes, I have done parts swap on laptops before, but it's a PITA if you want to change out the processor, and video card updates on laptops are damned near inpossible. Besides, as far as I know, it is not physically possible to biuld your own laptop. I will not own a machine I did not biuld myself. No pre-assembled machines for me.
