Ok, so I'm stuck in a dilema. I have a few options which I will list and why/why not it would be benificial to go that route. Room is fit for up to two plants is all I want in there. Roughly a 2x2 area 1-Get a 250 watt HPS ballast w/ HPS bulb and MH conversion bulb.(CONS-won't be available for a few weeks and is most expensive)(PROs-Will buy/make a cooling duct to reduce temps, ballast is seperate from light) 2-Get a 250 watt HPS ballast/bulb(No MH at all). (CONs-No MH bulb, Will have to use CFLs to vegg.Longer veg time?)(PROs-Ballast is seperate, will be able to cool easier.) 3-Get a 150 watt HPS hood with built in ballast and cooling capabilities. (CONs-Ballast is built in/will have to use CFLs to veg and some for flower)(PROs-Smaller, less energy/will be able to cool-dont know if it will be cool enough, but I'm sure my exhaust fan is big enough to cool pretty well. A 400 watt HPS/MH would just be too much for what I'm trying to get done. Most I'll grow is two in hydro at one time. Let me know what you think I should do and why. THanks in advance!
i say number 1.. its important to give your plants a strong veg time with a MH opposed to CFLS. a 250 will be perfect for the space and the cool tube/air cooled lights will work out great. GL!
