Politics, and its irony.

  1. I hate political bull shit. Politicians are just bad sports. Liberal or Conservative, people need to realize that there is a time and a place for everything. I guess what im trying to say is at war time a conservative would be better, at peace time a liberal would be better.

Right now we're kind of stuck in the middle, we need a good old fashioned moderate.

    Agree/Disagree?

  2. is having a linear political spectrum. your either conservative or liberal. I'm extremely liberal on social issues but rather conservative economically. i think we need to break the hell out of the 2 party system and shake shit up.

basically i think people need to be given as much freedom as possible, but with this freedom comes absolute responsibility to use your freedom wisely.

  3. it doesn't matter whether its a democrat or a republican. for the most part both parties know that America fucked it self in Iraq, but can afford to leave yet. because if we pack up and leave any time soon shit will hit the fan and boat loads of people will die in a civil war that we basically caused.

the only reason democrats seam more anti war is because that was teh popular thing to say last election cycle.

if you want some one who knew this shit was coming and tried to stop it vote for ron paul.

  4. Welcome to society.

  5. But the problem then is if the people have the responsibility to make their own decisions.

But back to the topic, i understand that each person is inclined to believe a certain way, but thats entirely neccesary. so the irony is why do Reps and Dems have to act like such total assholes to each other. Propaganda, Attack Ads, the list goes on.

  6. You guys need a parliament. They tend to be much more demanding on representatives. The incapable and inept simply cannot survive.

5 days a week, our Prime Minsiter (AKA the President) has to go out there and defend his actions, against the will of the people. If he pisses off those enough of those members (AKA congressmen), they can kick his ass out. This happens pretty often, especially in Canada.

Our House of Commons (AKA Congress) also happens to be very diverse, several different parties vowing for control of the House.

a two-party systems cannot possibly represent the people accurately and fails to be a democracy.

  7. There are more that 2 political parties in america.
The only reason Rep and Dem are dominant is because thats what the vast majority of people fall into. Political parties are constantly going in and out.

Granted thats only because of politically controlled media.

  8. Oh and what is the difference between parliament and the legislative branch?
    Im genuinly curious.

  9. I hate politics so much, i find it pretty funny how you cant win no matter what. There will always be something you are pissed off about, no matter how much you yell. You cant win in politics, there is always something wrong regardless of political party. Just seems dumb to fight for something you can win, ever.

  10. What the fuck are you talking about? Thats the whole point of democracy! Forging to make sure the voice of the people is heard. You can't take such a selfish attitude when dealing with a concept as broad as the leadership of a society. This is social contract man. Go live in the woods if you can't deal with it.

Comments like this piss me off, especially in spite of the millions of lives that were sacrificed for that magnificent freedom.

  11. Yeah precisely, those parties hold no power. There is what.. one independent seat? And isn't that Lieberman?

    Yeah, and corporate finance.

Oh boy, your asking me something that took me two years of civics and law class to learn.

I can point you towards wikipedia and wish you luck.

  12. What i got out of wikipedia is that in parliament executive is answerable to legislative, where in congress and the house all branches are answerable to each other. Is that about right anyway?

  13. the thing is that we have a system in place that is supposed to handle that. think about it, they used it on bill clinton after he got his dick sucked by a fat chick. however, when it really matters and people are dying for a war based off false pretenses, and the man says on live tv that he is above the law, everyone keeps their mouth shut because we "have to support the president".

  14. A Vote of No-confidence is much easier done than an impeachment proceeding

  15. yes, but there should have been an impeachment at least 2 years ago. if shit is this bad and the powers that be won't use the system in place, something is wrong.

oh i figured it out, we need to find a fat chick to give the president a blowjob. that should work out fine and dandy. i hear shrub is into whale hunting.

  16. I think what America's government really needs to do is simplify.
We've been here a while now its time to clean house.
Get rid of all the bullshit beauracratic shit you get sucked into. Also all the pointless, unfair laws, I can think of more than one.

And congress feels the irresistable urge to constantly be passing new laws. I just dont think as many laws are necessary.

Im not saying this all just about weed but in general.

  17. I don't know... would you want this in the hands of the american government?
