My major as the title implies is Poli Sci. I'm starting to think this is a worthless degree. Whenever I tell prospective employers that I'm a Poli Sci major their eyes glass over and I can almost feel them planning to give me the "Okay! Well, we'll get back to you!" death speech. Most of the people I tell I'm going for Poli Sci ask me what it is.. Should I just kill myself?
All I can tell you is about my Poli Sci experience. Graduated from a Big 10 University in 2009, BA Poli Sci & BA in Communication Studies. I got the 2nd major b/c I was having doubts like you on whether or not Poli Sci was enough. I graduated with a 3.5GPA. I had employment straight out of college, but it wasn't anything that my Poli Sci degree thankfully opened up for me or helped me out with. After everyone and their entire mother got canned last summer, its been a bitch finding steady work since then.
I feel like I'm doomed. All of skill sets are in the liberal arts world. I'm going to end up dead in some sleazy mother-in-law apartment on capitol hill of a fucking bath salt overdose. Writer's and philosophers are doomed.
If you want to do something in politics, then its a fine degree. If you want to do anything else, then people will look at very least (hopefully) as a Jack-of-all- master of none, kinda thing.

I'm in the exact same boat as you, man. I'm a philosopher, writer, and practical thinker (I'm good at economics), but not a science/math kind of guy. I'm a poli-sci major trying to get out.
I am about to graduate with a poli sci major and a management minor. You just have to utilize it dude.. Do that and you will be alright.
Nah all my finaid is through grants. I'm getting a free ride thanks to the awesome people of Washington state. Thanks Washington! I'm going to switch majors to something that will make me money. Probably like film or underwater basket weaving.
