Here are some poems I worte recently. I hope you guys enjoy them: Amiss My whole life I knew something was amiss I couldnt put words to it Part of a generation in bliss But creeping ever closer to the pit One day I pulled off my blinds And crawled out of Plato's cave The dim flickr exposing the poisoned minds Telling them all how to behave Then the ground suddenly dropped away And crumbled into grey dust I wanted them to pay God dont let me fall into this bloodlust The answer isn't in fire But rather in love To bring down the black spire So below so above Words My writing mus be perfect The ultimate arrangement Twenty four symbols Spark my amazement Deciphering the code That our ancestors wrought Arranging the pieces To paint in your mind my thought This is my reflection The mirror of my soul The devine light Refractions of the whole Liberty With such resolve I twist these words Into guns and knives With each letter A bullet for the cause This code of communication I bend to my will Onto the written word And nothing, nothing will stop me For now I see your system The status quo Your lies, your hypocracy You enslave the mind Poison the well Then get rich making us better But I see you now Whenever I turn on the box Quick, quick The messages flash Buy this, come here, invest in that I always see your perfect faces, perfect lives You feed off my emotions, my thoughts, my mind I need to be like you And it consumes my life Talking heads on suits You frivolously debate On issues of no importance For beyond your lies The real world dies At the hands of the unkown empire Blood for black gold And printed money Deals made in shadows Behind oak doors like black cloaks Insulting democracy You say we are free That we live in prosperity And of course we believe you You rewrote our history But what happens now? When we unravel the lie And expose the secret tyranny? The ghosts of the past Will have retribution at last Revolution in the name of Liberty The Game I fear not the Dark Scepter And his dangerous game For I cheated him once And will break the rules again But what has been sowed Must be reaped And this game must end To fall into eternal sleep Ah but sleep is for the body! And the tree in our mind That God hath said Never to bear its fruit That little voice That trickster! The betrayer! May it finally lay at rest That one that talks Is extinguished at last To free The one that listens When that sublime light may gleam Ill exhault as the soul awakes From this vivid dream And arise in new frequency Thus in my last of days I will look death in the face Laugh, extend my hand And say "Well Played"
Thanks for sharing, friend. I especially relate to Amiss; very powerful arrangement of words. Liberty for all!! Keep on writing. Your words are powerful and very necessary in these interesting times. Thank you.
