plot location pics...

    does ne1 have a pic of what their outdoor (or any potential) plot location looks like. i dont mean exact coordinates by any means lol, just a shot of what the imediate spot looks like. im just not sure if the spot i have will get enough light. Its a patch in the woods and its open in the canopy, but i dont know how much sun will enter? thanks

    if i had a plot i would show you, but i have the same problem as you, this thread will benifit me too

    You want to aim to get 4 hours of direct light per day.

    Hope this helps in some way, i'll try and get some pictures of my spot next time I visit it.

    thanks guys. yea b.c im just not sure how many hours it gets? is there a way to tell? I would rather n ot sit there all day looking at the sun lol. its a nice open caopy but its still in the woods, so i dont know. thanks

    Just have a rough estimate, visit your spot on a sunny day, see how much light penetration there is, visit occasionally during that day and see if there is still direct light.

    I find it helful to be oriented and know where approx the sun rises and sets and how it will travel across the sky. I just looked up and guessed how many hours it would get. out of my 3 plots Im guessing 1 will get direct sun from 9-7 and a few indirect hours which is pretty good. my others get sun from 5-5 and 10-8 so one morning light one afternoon light and one middle of the day light.

    I dont have a cam so pics are tough, plus I dont really want documentation that im growing.

    just visit the spot a bunch and youll get feel for it. dig into the soil to see if its good as is or needs more, and check how wet it is, plants like so O2 in their roots
