plexiglass light cover

  1. I have a question, may be dumb but here it goes....I have a box and my girls are in their 2nd week of flowering, they are too big for it already lol. Question is if I use plexiglass over the light so my plants don't get burned are there any negative effects if the plant keeps growing but bends as it hits the glass? I also ha e lights near the bottom to help light in areas where it would be difficult for the plant to absorb light. Thanks.

  2. what lights do you have? plexiglass will melt under hide lighting, CFl is fine.

plants touching can get burnt depending on lighting. LST them so they don't touch, or FIM if old enough.

  3. If your lights would be hot enough to burn the plants, the plexi is probably not going to fair too well either. I might also be concerned about the off-gassing the hot plastic could cause. +1 for LSTing or an other such method to control height before this becomes an issue.

  4. I have a 150w cfl light. I was thinking an inch below the light.

  5. CFL would probably be fine then, though my gut tells me an inch might be too close.

  6. My Box is my sig. Temps stay at a cool 78. Intake and outtake fan.

  7. I will do 2 in away, they didn't burn by being too close but rather touching the light. They are growing fast so I will do that tonight when the lights go on.
