  1. hi guys...i planted some seeds and now after about 2 months, its about 70cm at the moment with big leaves and strong stems....could someone please tell me what is the difference between the male and female plants and how do i distinguish the difference....

  2. Canibis has a life cycle where the first part is vegitative (just growing larger) and the second part is flowering. To flower reduce your lighting to 12 hour ligh 12 hours dark. Most canibis types ripen in about 2 months of 12 hour light, some are slower and some faster.

The buds are ripe when the tricomes (tiny crystals of resin) have turned from clear to cloudy and some tricomes are yellowish or amber. Oistal color is not a good way to tell ripeness.

Im sure a site like this has photos of tricomes - check it out.

  3. hi thanx for the quick response...ok now i understand a little bit...i was growing it outdoors but now it is indoors...i dont have any special lights so will it flower with 12 hours of natural light?

  4. DEPENDS on what u mean by natural light ? your going to have to mimic the light given from the sun if you have moved in doors ,by using ,metal halide ,high pressure sodium or cfls and your going to have to give the plants 12 hours of darkness and 12 hours of light for them to flower ,id recomend reading a shit load of infomation on this site . all the info is here ,just takes a while to read everything and understand it .

  5. ok im starting to read the stuff....thanx....ok i know i sound like really stupid but that sodium thingy, what is it and where can i buy it from?

  6. I don't understand -- you brought it inside so what kind of light are you giving it?

That "sodium thingy" is high pressure sodium or HPS, a type of light. You can buy it on eBay or try htgsupply-dot-com or insidesun-dot-com. And yes you need to use a special socket for that bulb and yes you need a ballast (I'm psychic, I knew you were going to ask).

That is a very good bulb for the flower stage, a better bulb for the vegitative stage is metal halide (MH). You can get a MH conversion bulb that is made to work off of a HPS ballast, but don't use a MH bulb off a HPS ballast unless it is a conversion bulb.
