  1. Ok, I have read all of the troubleshooting and other things on the internet and none of them are helping. A guy I knew had a 2 1/2 foot tall plant in his basement and it was going good except for the bottom leaves on the plant would start to discolor to yellows and then browns and then dry up and fall off. Everything said it needed nitrogen so I added some to the soil and the higher up leaves didn't turn color so flowering was began. It flowered good for about 3 weeks, then just stopped progressing. It stayed that way until last night when my friend woke up to find it totally dead. He has a bunch of other plants that are looking really nice but the same yellowing of the bottom leaves is happening while the tops flourish. He adds miracle-grow to the waterings starting a week ago, but the yellowing hasn't stopped. What is happening? How does he fix it? Plants are in soil under good lights, they grow like "weeds". Tops have already been cut to facilitate growth fom beneath, and he would like to flower as quickly as possible but wants healthy plants!

  2. 1.Make sure you change how long the plants have light during different cycles of life.
2.Ummm i think nitrogen is bad for your plants since nitrogen is also in pee and u shouldnt pee in your plant either.
3.Your friends basement may not have suitable air conditions.Ex.Put in dehumidifier and put a fan on.
4.U could have a bad strain thats nauturally hard to grow in ur conditions:( .

Experiment and try lots of ur own grow techniques, dont be scared, as long as u have more beaners ur cool. :D

  3. Well Ive noticed that its natural for the bottom leaves to die off. It just means the plant has used up al the goodies and doesn't need it anymore. As long as they are at the bottom its all good. Also in flower the plants also does this, its sucking out all the things it needs.

The MG has to GO BYE BYE. it isn't doing it any good. Also i think that the niitrogen might have killed it. So as long as it is only the bottom leaves and it isn't going up the plant then it should be ok, especially in flower that long.

  4. Where are you guys getting your information from? Plants need nitrogen. Nitrogen is a macro nutrient meaning it is found in large doses in the plant and it is a mobile element meaning it moves up and down the entire plant. Pictures of your friends problem should be posted for more help and everyone subscribed to this thread should read this: http://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=11688&page=1&pp=15
