http://cgi.ebay.com.au/NEW-PH-Meter...3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=66:2|65:1|39:1|240:1318 This is just like the one I have used for the last few years. Just make sure you get some PH calibration solution yo re-calibrate every now & then. If you find one even cheaper...go with that. As long as you can calibrate it, it'll be fine. PH reading isn't a sophisticated technology.
i wouldnt have a clue how u do that? and is it alright to keep it constantly sitting in my nute resovoir?
i was thinking more this one, cause u can keep it in ur resovouir constantly? (i think) http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Handheld-Swi...3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=66:2|65:1|39:1|240:1318 please comment.. i have no clue
Hey bro - here's my personal experience, and from what I've read/heard from others it matches theirs pretty closely. I went first with a submersible pen - one you leave in the rez 24hrs a day. It went bad (would no longer calibrate) after only 6months. I contacted Hanna who advised me this IS NORMAL for a 24hr submersible. Normal didnt work for me. So in the trash it went and I picked up a normal EC/TDS/pH Combo pen. Had it ever since and not 1 issue. My advice: Skip the submersible and instead - Tie fishing line across the top of your rez. When you wanna take a reading hook the pen on the line and, if done right, it will be low enough to just hang in the water. Wait 5mins and turn it on....instant perfect reading just like a submersible. I also would highly advise storing the pen in 4.01 solution, which you must get along with 7 solution in order to properly calibrate it. Pens come to your from the store UNCALIBRATED... so it's a must to do first thing outta the box.
