Please help, wierd leaves?

Discussion in 'Growing Marijuana Indoors' started by Plasma, Sep 30, 2011.

  1. Alright, so I apologize for coming around in the Indoor forum and constantly posting for help. You are my lovely blades though! I need you now more than ever! So the issue is that the middle fan leaves on my new plants seem to be curling down at a 70 degree angle. I don't have anything reflective under the plant and the temp is pretty nice. Also, the humidity shouldn't be a problem but I could be wrong. Here are a few pictures please please help me understand what is the problem! Thanks so much! :D

  2. Either you're over watering or it needs water is my diagnosis.

  3. That's suprising, it seems like i'm watering perfectly.
Well I will take that into consideration and will try to fix my babies.
Another question, one of my larger plant's fan leaves are twisting at a 90 degree angle facing the wall or just randomly turning. Is that a serious issue or should I not be concerned?

  4. When you water, let the soil dry out almost completely. Then fully saturate it. And if the leaves are bending that's not a prob. Could be hitting other branches? Are they yellow at all?

  5. Nope they aren't touching anything, they just seem like they are wanting to twist. No yellow all green and healthy looking. Just kind of weird looking, yea I seem to be letting the soil dry out before fully saturating. Kind of afraid to do that now though, since I don't know if it's already under-watered and if it is could it handle a little more time to let it dry out? Also, I just notice I didn't spell weird right in the title, FAIL. :p

  6. have you checked the ph? it should be between 6.5 to7

  7. Yes, the PH is normal. Although my measuring device is pretty crappy and I'm not sure it gives a good reading it seems about right 6.8. To be honest, I think the issue might be over-watering I think it started the day I unloaded a giant jug of water into the plants. I probably shouldn't continue that :D. I'll be sure to let everyone know how it goes and keep you up to date on my grow. Thanks a ton my lovely blades!

  8. You should put a giant jug in there, soak the soil up real nice. But what I think you did wrong is you didn't wait long enough for the next water. Make sure you have drainage holes in your pot. But after the water. Don't pay attention to how many days since the last water, that is irrelevant. Just go by either how light the pot is or how wet the soil is. A good way is dip your finger in there 1-2 knuckle deep and if it's still moist, wait til the next day. Don't worry about letting the soil getting dry, worry more about watering too often.
