Please any help or advise would be much appreciated. I haven't tried any fancy pruning techniques, just here and there removing some dying or infected leaves. I think the plant is about a week old into flowering. Should I remove the little leaves growing on the branch(es)? Will it divert more energy toward where the buds develop?
Thank you for the knowledge buddy!!! Yesterday I was watching something and it said clipping the bottom branches off would be beneficial for the nice buds that grow higher up the plant rather than having the plant produce as many premature buds left uncut. What's your view on that? Should I be removing any of the bottom branches for that or any other specific reasons?
It depends on what lighting you're using and your ability to grow plants. Honestly, it looks like to you're just starting down the awesome road that is growing bud, so you might want to take it slow when trying slightly more advanced techniques such as pruning during flower without putting your plant into shock from defoliating. I like to switch up my grows, whenever I scrog a plant (usually a bugger sativa) I'll trim the bottom foliage so all I have on the plant is a nice even canopy. When I'm growing more indica dominant strains, I'll let em be (maybe a little bit of LST, but not much, and hardly any pruning). There's lots of ways to grow these plants, but the ability to do them correctly somes from having a good knowledge base. Focus on this one, leaving her how she is. You'll develop a better feel for what every individual plant needs as you grow more. Keep reading, there's soooooo much knowledge to be had here. She looks very good man.
Thank you for that. That really means a lot to me. It makes me happy to have others who know what they're doing, encourage me and tell me she's looking good. And that everyone here is positive and no one is rude is great. People try to tear down this dream of mine but you (guys) are awesome. It's actually an outdoor plant but I started a little late. She popped on 7/9. It's special Kush #1. I got the grow guide by Ed Rosenthal. I'm learning so much and I love it
Beautiful looking plant man. I'd let it go all natural too. That books awesome too. Its like a condensed grasscity haha
If its outdoor, I wouldn't ever trim it! All us indoor guys do is try and imitate conditions of the sun and nature as best we can. (Except aero and hydroponics systems, but blah blah blah, lol.) Ya can't go wrong with Ed! Haha, good luck on all your future grows man, I'm sure I'll see ya around the city.
