hello, i live in the mountains in Central America. I am going to build a green house in the next couple months. I am at about 6000 feet. Please, any information by anyone who is familiar with this climate would be AWESEOME! I want to know how early i can start planting and how late i can still harvest. Thanks so much.
I too live in the mountains of Central America, what is it you want to know? Most of Central America has a 12 month season, meaning you can grow outdoors year round.
That is awesome, That was what i was hoping. (12 months season) I am living in Guatemala Departamento Qutzaltenango right now, but am moving to Departamento Solola in the next few months. Where are you at generally?
just basicaly wanted to know if i could grow in a green house all year round? I am not an experienced grower as I am kind of a young chap. I hve read stuff about plants not flowering if you dont plant them im the summer when the days are bound to shorten in the fall. I figured that I could grow perpetually down, here but just wanted to know.
Im in Costa Rica. Ideally, a combo of indoor outdoor works best here, veg the plant indoors under 12 hours and put outside during the day for the other 12. If you don't want a high electric bill, just use fluorescent tubes, more than anything you are just trying to keep the plant in veg cycle until it is strong enough to switch over. Put it out to start budding once its a couple feet tall and let it go under the natural cycle of the sun for budding.
