PLEASE HELP - HERMIE?!?

Discussion in 'Sick Plants and Problems' started by Rk435, Sep 12, 2023.

  1. Hey Guys,

first post… I’m absolutely bugging out. Someone please help! Is this plant a hermie? I currently have 2 plants. This is my first grow and I accidentally sent the other plant into flowering early because I tried to use supplementary lighting. The second plant has been developing buds for 10 days now but I am not seeing any pistils. Also, the center of the colas feel really dense. Are these pollen sacs or new growth? Should I trash it?

  5. All I see are vegetative and female parts.
The pictures you are showing are pistils.

  8. I believe it's a boy; frustrating reality of working with weed - two to three months of anticipation evaporates in a few days as balls drop.

  11. Do you think the female is pollenized?

  12. Btw this forum is dope and you guys are legends lol!

  13. If there is a firm seed like growth in the center of the cola is it safe to assume that is a pollen sac? Everything else considered?

  14. Regardless of advertising and testimonials weed is ,by nature a fickle plant and hermies can crop up. I've had clearly female parts that predate the appearance of the dangly bits. Two days before I admitted the crushing defeat with my pictured specimen, I was lulled into a false sense of pride seeing pistils but then realized the undeniable with full on manly structure in the following presentation.

  15. I see no indication of a hermie.

  16. It was the first pics

  17. I killed the plant lol… wasn’t going to risk it. 11 days into the 12/12 cycle and it wasn’t flowering. It was developing these small dense pods in the middle of the colas and it has those small pouches by the nodes. I hope I caught it early and didn’t accidentally spread the pollen. I wasn’t really thinking and touched the flowering plant after feeling around in the colas of the plant I thought was a hermie lol. Well, I guess you live and you learn. The flowering plant is looking pretty good for a first time grow if you ask me. Now I guess I can focus on the one ‍♂️

  18. The first pics you posted show no signs of male or hermie man.. what you're seeing is new vegetation growing. Some plants can just take a little longer to start flowering than others. Bummer you trashed it so soon!

  19. You do realize you have plenty of time to get rid of a male or hermie before pollen spreads and after it's 100% confirmed.......which yours wasn't. No need to jump to conclusions without firm evidence........you may have needlessly killed a female.
