Im constantly getting this deficiency on my old plants and it looks like its comin to my new plant ....this my only problem im getting. The leafs become very very dried out and crunchy like a bag a chips First pic is my new growth (You can see the yellowing on the right side of the pic) 2nd pic is my old plant Sent from my DROID X2 using Grasscity Forum mobile app
From the dark colour of the leaves otherwise, I would suggest maybe nitrogen toxicity over all, which would explain the brown tips on the new plants. It would also explain the older plant too, but it could be mixed up with a magnesium def or root bound. How big are the pots, and what are you feeding them and how often? Is this a CFL grow?
I havent fed it nutes yet & one pot is 3 gal (older plant} and 5 gal (new plant).....as in nitrogen is it too much or not enough of it ? Im using a 300watt LED with a 250Watt CFL, one of those big ones
I was suggesting too much nitrogen, but if you haven't been feeding them.... what's the soil that you're using? It could be the soil at the start, a bit of nute burn, and if they then get fed when they're older it can build up. If that new plant is in a 5 gallon pot, it looks half full and a bit like a bucket? If you only put 2 gallons of soil in a 5 gallon pot, the important detail is 2 gallons not 5. I asked about CFLs because the older plant looked like that's what you had been using, and CFL grows need a lot less feeding than HPS grows, which could explain a nitrogen buildup. However a 300w LED and 250w CFL is a reasonable amount of light to have.
Im using Fox farm ocean forest with a lil bit of happy frog and in the 5gal bucket has about 4 gallons of soil cause i ran out im sure thats enought for a auto and i also have another 250watt cfl arriving today and the issue got worse a lil bit. How do i decrease nitrogen? I appreciate the help btw Sent from my DROID X2 using Grasscity Forum mobile app
