Plastic in my BHO

    Hello guys,
    I hava made a really dumb fault with making some extracts..
    I used aceton for as solvent and put it in a plastic cup.
    In a couple seconds i saw the plastic solve in the aceton...
    Now i did evoporate the aceton but there is plastic inside my concentrate.
    Does anyone know how to get the plastic out of it?

    Can you freeze it and separate the plastic from the concentrate? I think I'd call it a learning experience and trash it. Good luck.

    Yes i have tried freezing it, after that there were some nugs of plastic and a little liquid substance around it. I am searching for a solvent what solve the thc but does nothing with the plastic.. does anyone konw?
    I am a little stressed out right now because it was a 40g run ...

    Can you get 190 proof Everclear? It will dissolve the concentrate and should leave the plastic be.

    I would toss it. There is no telling what might have dissolved in to the concentrate that can't be physically removed.

    Where did you get the acetone? If from a paint or hardware store it will have so many contaminants in it that plastic will be the least of your worries. It's the solvent used in nail polish removers and will dissolve many plastics.

    Glass, stainless steel or silicon is all you should use in the processing of cannabis to oils.

    I'd toss that stuff and learn a bit more about making oil before your next attempt. Or sell it to that bully who used to steal your lunch money in high school last year. ;)

    Yes checked that shit again and its like a plastic plate filled with cannabinoids. Also the aceton smell is very present.
    Learning from my faults, next time i use glass and another solvent like butane or pentane.

    The aceton is a clean product, there is a label that its 99+ pure acetone and the reason why i rather use this then alcohol is because acetone is way more apolair. It was indeed a really dumb foult to put it in plastic can.. but i did my homework about making dabs haha, i am from holland by the way. Dabs are kinda rare out here!
