Plants with the least noticable smell ?

  1. Originaly my plan was to grow 2 Lowrider Easyrider Fem's in a stealth grow box, but after reading up a little more about them many people say they smell....quite potent ! ive made a carbon filter alredy and i do smoke, and often have insence buring so i guess the smell will be very faint. But are there any shorter height strains that smell less than the debated Lowrider easyrider ?

    Cheers :smoking:

  2. Sorry forgot to mention, Im not a complete beginner. I grew and harvested two Dutch Dragon plants from seed last year and also germinated and grew 4 shortstuff seeds untill 3 weeks old for a friend. also seen my fair share of grow rooms so i know the degree of scent given off by plants during the flowering period. but ive never done an indoor grow before myself and would quite like it to be as Stealthy as possable.

  3. northern lights

  4. Well, nothing beats a good carbon filter I would think. And since an indoor grow is going to need some kind of circulation, its not so much more to go from duct fan to duct fan + carbon scrub filter.

BUT I've read a few times on here about blue mystic, and above posters recomendation as well, as being low odor plants. i've personally ordered from nirvana and recomend um! BM linked below

Nirvana's Blue Mystic feminized marijuana seeds

  5. Black Domina is an outstanding Indica with a very stealth smell profile, great dank nugs.

  6. One or two plants isn't going to stink a place up anyway. I have a white widow that's about 3ft wide and 2ft tall and you can't smell it at all. It's 2 weeks into flower. Even with my last harvest my place never stunk too bad, most of the skunky smell comes from curing.

  7. Ah Great one guys, cheers :D

  8. Nonsense. Grow something with skunk in it and tell me if it doesn't stink your house up. In fact as was mentioned in this thread, grow some lowryder, and tell me she won't put off a stink.

  9. This is true I have six widow/haze (moby dick) and they smell but is nothing compared to the Pineapple Express or a skunk strain. Just make sure that all the air coming out of your grow room goes through your scrubber.

  10. Definitely NOT mr. nice.

  11. What about Nirvana's White Widow or Nirvana's Ice through a homemade carbon filter?

Would there be any smell at all?

  12. I have a Blue mystic mother who is about 3 weeks from being harvested. I have correct ventilation, but i am not using a filter for the smell. I would say if your looking for a strain with the least odor i would go with blue mystic, or maybe even some northern. The only time i can smell my bitch is when its sitting for 12hrs in the dark and when the lights pop on, it smells of heaven.

  13. i second that!! Northern Lights!!

  14. Ok this probably needs a sub thread but if you grow other plants would they absorb the smells or cancel them out. I used to grow large leaf lemon basil with mine. it seemed to cut down on the smell alot
Anybody else Here of this? or do this?

  15. i dunno bout you but with one plant the place where i'm at kinda started to smell... not the pungent smell but enough that it was noticable when i came home from work each day. kinda fruity with that hint we all know and love. on the plus side, the strain, when i would rub the leaves, had a very strong berry scent (like, frankenberry almost.) but the plant itself, the scent was very subtle.

sadly, i ended up having to uproot her. a discussion with the roomies and they weren't comfortable with the smell, as subtle as it was. :( ah well, better luck next time.

still, the strain was summertime buddha... if that helps (which was tagged as a low-odour strain... so, i dunno, maybe it was low odour and i am fortunate that i didn't go for a skunk-type plant.)

i'm definately looking up on research for next time. knowledge and research is still legal. might be a while though but when i do it i want to do it proper. at the least the cabinet that was built is being repurposed for other plants (san marzano tomatoes. yum!) why waste a perfectly good setup :) and it could easily be adjusted to incorporate the proper stuff to keep odour down for next time.
