I am using a homemade DWC, and a home made grow tent. It has taken me about a month of losing plant after plant. I am pretty certain that I have it pretty dialed in now. Room is a 4x4x5' with three 4700 lumen CFL bulbs, and a small oscillating fan. Both on a 12/12 timer. I have two 30 gal aquarium air pumps. My room temp is a constant 72. My H2O bath stays between 62 to 70 degrees. My ph is staying really steady at 5.9, 6.2 range. I'm using Botanicare base, grow, and flower, and am at week 3 grow strength. I think I just figured it out myself! After reading what I typed. I'm transplanting from organic starter potting soil, straight into a strong nute solution. My question was why do my special tomato plants always damn near die when I introduce them to my hydro system. I guess I'll need to start another DWC in a 5 gal bucket for transplanting, and make it a really weak nute solution. Thanks for any better intel!
