Had real bad strep throat past week and was kind of not giving my plants the attention they need, after checking them out today a lot of my fan leaves are getting brown spots and turning yellow. At first I noticed a few but didn’t think much of it now it seems like to much. What’s causing them to get like this ? Any help appreciated
I think before suggesting what is causing this, you need to explain what you are doing. What is the media you growing in? What are you feeding them? What is the pH and EC/TDS of solution you are feeding? What is the pH of the media/runoff? What kind of water are you giving them? What is the temperature? Just looking at them, I imagine they are not being fed enough potassium and/or phosphorous, but I see several issues. The second picture shows some taco'n leaves, maybe due to too much heat, or possibly too close to the light. Collectively, I'd guess the problem is at the root level, but without more info, I can't really say.
Yes my bad should’ve put that info just panicked lol I’m using FFOF and using the fox farm trio. I’m Using tap water and ph’ing it to 6.5, I’ve never used an EC tester. Or tested runoff. I’m using a Marshydro tsw2000 at full power at about 18 inches from canopy.
I start by doing a slurry test. (don't use tap water to do this test). You've grown nice weed before, so ask yourself, what are you doing different this time?
Also, I monitor the runoff. I have been feeding at 6.5 because the runoff was low (started at 5.5 couple weeks ago). Over time, the runoff pH has been climbing, but tonight I noticed the runoff was 6.5, and the plant was looking unhealthy. I fed again using a pH of 5.8 to lower the pH.
This is my first time doing a full indoor grow. And ok I would need to get an Ec tester first, also do you think it can be a defeciency? Should I be giving it npk ? If so which one do you recommend? I am About day 25 in flowering
Check this out mate, I'm growing pretty much with the same stuff, had some similar looking problems a few weeks back (note the yellowing and the browning spots on the lower leaves) Here is what I was doing wrong 1. Too much light (I was running 24 hour light in veg for about 3 weeks due to my own errors, but the same damage can happen if the intensity is too high even on a more standard like 16-8 light schedule) 2. Not enough N 3. cal-mag I suspect you may have at least 1 if not all 3 of these factors in play, my uneducated guess is the plants have been kinda running low on N since stretch and now its getting worse. I did a few feedings with some higher N grow big and cut the lights back to something more reasonable and it cleared right up in about a week (some fan leaves I did have to trim away as they were crispy and too far gone) She is still a little low on N (lighter green than I prefer for entering flower) but she cleared up after a few more feedings, if you don't mind the faded autos next to her If you want to know precise amounts, times etc for my feeding schedule feel free to pirate anything useful out of my journals (I have several, but this one is probably closest to your set up, Ocean forest primarily as the medium and the trio + cal mag.), thee is a table of links as its a long journal in the first post but this link starts from seeds breaking surface. Indoor dirt growing for the lazy person / 4 strains Hope this helps mate and best of luck on the grow!
You don't need to do an EC test, you need to check the PH. Are you not feeding your plants? You should be feeding them some Bloom nutes, like 10-15-15 or similiar. Get some PK in there. But please do a pH test. The EC can wait for now.
