Plants dying? Help with diagnosis

Discussion in 'Sick Plants and Problems' started by Dimajna, Jan 29, 2011.

  1. Please help. Most of my plants seem to be having the same problem to some degree. The one that has it the worst is clearly dying. I want to fix it before I lose them all. Leaves are turning yellow/brown in spots and curling upward. I believed it to be a magnesium defeicency, so I gave the worst ones epsom salt two days ago, but have seen the problem advance at the same rate.

    Northern lights
    600w light
    75-84 degrees
    RH very low at 16%
    RO water + Lucas formula
    all around 900ppm
    5.8-6.3ph
3 tetra whisper 100 air pumps powering 2 buckets each

Any thoughts on whats wrong with my plants?

  2. The problem starts at the bottom and works its way up, effecting the tips first. Turning yellow then brown. Then drying up and dying as the plant droops more and more.

  3. Anyone wanna take a guess?

  4. Sure, I think 960 ppm is way to high for plants that small. How old are those, and are they still growing at all ? I've grown huge northern lights plants and I've found the sweet spot to be only 380-480 ppm. They don't seem like heavy feeders at all to me. If it was me I'd flush for at least a day and lower my ppms and work up. You have to use lucus formula with a grain of salt. Hope that helps man.
