Hello, I sprouted these three feminized Purple#1 seeds about three weeks ago. Can anyone tell me what's wrong with them? and what I can do to bring them back to a healthy color and maybe where they should be in height? I used regular potting soil mixed with some vermiculite[/IMG] thanks in advance
First thing's first is, have you fed them anything yet? Also, get them out of those clear containers, roots don't like light.
Okay, I will put them into non clear containers and what should I do about the mites? will molasses and water be a good way to get rid of them? Also, I watered them with some fish emulsion added (5-1-1) the last time....
Neem....okay will do. How much bigger should they be at this stage anyway? I fear they have been stunted
Dont put them into new containers! It might be too late but all you gotta do is wrap duck tape around them.. The clear thing is a problem but transplanting them before they need to is gonna stunt their growth for sure.
Awesome! glad I didn't transplant yet....I did just that (wrap duct tape around them). I want them to get back to healthy and get a little bigger before I put them intheir final homes. Gotta try to get rid of the spider mites to:/ Any suggestions?
Usually for bugs people mix a very small amount of soap and spray it on the plants.. You can do that immediately. But you should try to buy some neem oil and mix it up and spray that too. But you gotta use it all when you mix it, cuz it goes bad after awhile.
Okay, so any kind of liquid soap? and by small amount you mean a few drops in about a liter of water?
When mixing neem oil you use a few drops of some mild non antibacterial dish soap. There are also some other home remedies that you can mix up yourself. I just use Pyrethrin, it pretty much kills every bug on contact.
