planting multiple plants in a single pot?

  2. Generally no. If you are not using feminized seeds then there is a 50/50 chance any given seed is male. You will want to pull your males, and that will be difficult if one is in a pot with a female that you want to keep, the roots will be entangled and you will damage the female removing the male.

Even if all femmed seeds it usually is better to put them in separate pots, unless you have really big pots that can provide good root volume to two healthy plants (like at least 6 gallons).
