I got a quik question guys. im in the process of germing my seeds rite now and id say i have 20+ seeds germing. They are goin to go from germ str8 to dixie cups with 50/50 coco fiber / pro mix. Btw. i was wondering if i should wait for all the seeds to poke thru before planting them. or if i should take the seeds out that have allready poked thru and plant them and continue waiting for the others to poke thru. Another thing. do i need my 400w light for the first few days of seedling growth? or could i use a few cfls
Use the cfl's for the first week or so. HID's are touchy on newborn seedlings: too far away and they stretch, too close and they fry. CFL's will also save you on your electric bill. GL!
Thanks again john for everything bro. What kind of cfls do u reccomend - i kno theres more than one type (6100k and 4100k or somethin) And howmany for 15+ plants. Hmmm. You know for 15 plants you might want to think about a 4 ft. shop light fixture with 6500K bulbs. I got the fixture and bulbs at HD for $30 or so. It beats buying and hanging a bunch of cfl's. I germ and grow under the shop light for two weeks then stick them under the 400w MH. If you squeezed them in, you could prolly put 15 under one fixture.
Hmmm, i mite be able to come across one... but if worst comes to worst john, and i absolutely have to use my 400w light. Wats the odds of me ruining my plants.? And at that note. wat do you think i should do about the seeds i have, i just checked and total i have 18 seeds. total sprouted seeds so far Fugu Kush Moto 1/2 Burnam Red Eye (Local Strain grown indoors) 0/8 White Heaven 6/10 Its only been 2 days germing so far. but i was planning on planting them as soon as they sprouted thru the seed, i dont wanna wait too long and let them get a long root
