Plant problems... Help!!!

  1. SO MY PLANT HAS BEEN IN 12/12 SINCE 1/2/11 AND HAS BEEN FLOWERING SINCE 1/11/11... ANYWAY I STARTED GIVING IT AGE OLD BLOOM 5-10-2 ABOUT 2 FEEDINGS AGO AND THE FIRST TIME i FED IT, THE LEAVES STARTED TO SHOW SPLOCHES OF YELLOW HERE AND THERE. ANYWAY i LET IT GO AND IT DIDN'T SEEM TO BE SPREADING SO 4 DAYS LATER I FLUSH THE SOIL, AND THE LAST GALLON I GIVE IT A TABLESPOON OF BLACKSTRAP MOLASSES.

ANYWAY YESTERDAY i WOKE UP TO THE FIRST 2 PICTURES.. AND THE 2 LAST PICTURES IS THIS MORNING.

WHAT IS THIS??? IS IT LIGHT BURN? WE THOUGHT IT WAS YESTERDAY SO i MOVED THE LIGHTS BACK BUT IT ALSO SEEMS TO BE HAPPENING ON THE LOWER LEAFS AS WELL.

ALSO KEEP IN MIND.. THIS ISN'T SPREADING LIKE CRAZY.. EVERY DAY I SEE ONE MORE SPOT HERE AND THERE.. THEN IT SEEMS TO STOP.. BUT THIS TIME IT DOESN'T SEEM TO BE STOPPING

  2. I'm new but from what i've read you want less nitrogen when flowering no?

I was given something that is 0-10-10 for flowering but I haven't reached that stage so haven't done much reading. That could possibly be your problem? Could warrant further research into that.

  3. thanks for your input.. but my ratio is okay.. it still does need nitrogen in flower .. but very little. once I flush it will flush it all out.. it needs mainly phosperous and the other micronutes..but still needs some nitrogen

  4. Might be a cal/mg OD from the mollases. Was the molasses unsulfered? Skip a feeding and just use water next time...see what that does. How much molasses?

  5. i used 1 tablespoon per gallon.. and I didn't even use the whole gallon.. just half of it after I fushed the soil

yes it was unsulphered blackstrap molasses

  6. she is def reacting to something. Hows the ph

  7. PH in the soil itself is 7.. the water is 6.5 runoff is about inbetween that

could this be a root problem? like it needs to be repotted. I don't think the growth has slowed.. maybe it has.. not sure.

or maybe ....this all seemed to start when I introduced the age old bloom.. maybe i added too much at first?

  8. I would back off the nutes for a while and see what she does. It doesnt look that bad at the moment. More like a nute burn by the looks of it

the next time it will need water is saturday.. should I flush it saturday and just let it sit til it needs water again(prob 4 days later) then give it some nutes then?

the molasses is what I gave it last.

  10. OK...flushing and watering and feeding are 3 different types of hydration. Its impotant you understand the dif. Forgive me if you already know;

Flushing is used to evacuate salts deposits in the soil...like a bath, you do not collect the water, it must be discarded.
Watering is just like nutes but with no nutes, and visa versa

Let her sit till she screams from thirst, then straight water. Introduce flower nutes slowly. Dont sweat it bro, its not that bad...she will bounce back.gl

  11. yeah I get the difference . its all good.. its always good to see it written out again.. makes it click in your head again

I'm totally going to take your advice and just give it straight water on saturday(non flush) I'm pretty sure there is still Molasses and age old nutes in the soil.. so it makes sense to back off and just water.

thanks for your help on this.

  12. I agree with Blutis...Back off the nutes some and start them at maybe 1/4 or 1/2 strength initially...the thing about molasses is, if you've already nuted it up and then you give them molasses, the molasses helps the plant take up more nutes than without it, so it's probably a little nute burn...this is one of the things molasses does in addition to everything else it does, it helps the roots take up the stuff that's already in the soil ...I use it BETWEEN feedings, i.e. just with water so it helps the plant use the nutes that are already in the soil in between feedings. IMO they will recover...this is one of those things you need to read the plants and how they react to what you give them and not try to do too much too fast. The flushing you give them should help, and imo there is no reason to add molasses to a flush. Then go back and dilute the nutes some and keep growing, using molasses as an additive in between. I've never used Old Age, so I can't tell you whether to use it or not. I only use a 1/2 tablespoon per gallon of molasses, every third watering myself...imo it's better to underfeed (and read the plants), than overfeed.

  13. awesome ! thanks everyone you all have been most helpful I will update !

  14. okay so it doesnt look like its getting anyworse... however I did see a tip starting to burn this morning on one of my bud leaves(on the node)

so unless this spreads i'm just going to keep my schedule and just straight water on friday or saturday depending on how dry the soil is tomorrow.

  15. Sounds like a plan buddy. Keep us posted:D

  16. okay so i gave it just water on Friday and noticed on saturday morning that there was no spreading of anything. the burns were totally from the lights being so close as well as nute burn!! I had no idea 23w 2700's could get that hot. damn.. maybe I shold have gotten the HPS..

any way it needed water again 3 days later so i just gave it water again.. and its totally taking off. i'm almost sure it stopped growing/budding during that time.

its Tuesday now and I will get a pic up soon

  17. Try relaxing on the nutes, bro. Use a quarter of the recommended dose.

  18. yeah I was giving it 1/4 strength last time.. i'll bump it to half next watering still keeping it at once a week problem was that I nuted it.. then next water I gave it molasses.. so it got a total huge dose.. but its fine now..
