This plant has 4 nodes, but no side shoots. The plant at 2:00 has 4 nodes and many side shoots. (1) Comparing a Topped Plant with a Low Stress Trained Plant - YouTube Why one plant has them and the other don't? Is it because the one without it is grown in a cup and the one that has it is grown in a pot?
Bend it over at a 90 degree angle to promote side growth. I highly suggest that you bury half of the stem when you transplant. It's very stretched cause by either poor lighting or it's too far away. Good luck.
Some plants grow side branches quickly and some don't.........but they all do eventually. I'd worry more about your light issue. Good luck.
bury the thing in its final pot with only an inch of stem sticking out she will be fine you can check my journal and see how i do it i wouldnt bend it over but thats just my advice take it with a grain of salt
you can leave them on but bury them if you pot up and they continue to stretch you will regret not going deeper IMO
Curious why you've elected to remain in the starter pot this long? Going from seed, my routine is about two weeks in starter then about a month in 1 gal with a move to three gal for the next month or so and eventually finishing in 5 gal (either just entering short hours or right after showing pistils). I'd grown accustomed to a two month veg and roughly the same in flower (bag seed) but occasionally things can run closer to three in flower. Now with clones I'm dealing with close to three months or more in veg and looks like flower may be close to that with the particular plant I've kept regenerating in this experiment. Offering a shot of what's currently working in 12/12 at a little over a month in the back and approaching two weeks in front. Second perspective shows how elaborate my LST is to craft as many competing mains I can foster.
Nice setup. The air pots have not arrived. Maybe today. What would go wrong if you uppoted it from 1 gallon to 5 gallon? How long at the least it stays in a 3 gallon pot? I see 3 plants in 3 pots, 1 front, 2 back. Front is LST. Back is topping. Right?
Single topping and very aggressive LST on all. A little longer in veg for the one in front. A look at what the same clones developed with less time in veg - like night and day.
I have about three inches of stems buried when starting cuttings and probably only add about two to three more during container upgrades. My cloning skills are pretty weak; tried direct to soil vs water only and seem to have a better success rate with soil based. Have six more not yet rooted followed by eight seed based efforts with only one breaking ground after about four or five days.
