Well. It's the 10th day of Flowering. They been stretching steadily, but one of the plants (the one on the right) stretched quite a bit more as you can see on the pics below. I probably have like 2 or 3 inches more available space to bring the light up. But not more. Anything I can do? Or would the last resort be to chop off those 3 or 4 tops that are so tall.
Dont chop. That would be silly. Squeeze the stem - hard - enough to break tye fibers, where you want to (I’d suggest a foot lower) and simply bend the top over. Do it to all of the ones that are growing too tall. You arent going to hurt it. It will grow a thick knot where you squeezed and then bent it over. You can do this as many times as you want/need. j
Is that supercropping basically? Didn't know you can still do that once it's in flower. Thought the stem is too hard for that now. I'll give it a go. Although I don't really have space on sides either as the tent is completely filled. But it should lower it at least an inch or two maybe. Thanks
It will lower it as much as you want. You need yo squeeze that stem HARD and break its back wnd then just bend it over. Try it on a few a foot down. I’ve done it a thousand times. And sure you can do it in flower. j
When you bend its more like popping a pimple. Really squeeze hard then rub your fingers together to soften up the stem. Once it’s soft then start with twisting then bending it in whatever direction you’d like. Never snap or crack the stem, it might not be the best for it. Do this early nothing after week 2 flower. This does cause some stress but better then the alternative. Sent from my iPhone using Grasscity Forum
I've done so many at once fingers would get sore, so now I just use pliers put tape around pliers jaws and works quick.
