I have decided for my new house I will be building my own rooms for the garage rather than buying tents or anything of the sort. I plan on having one room 4'x10'x8' and another 4'x4'x8'. I will be building them out of 2x4's and 4'x4's using drywall. Does anyone have any experience in building grow rooms like this and do you have any advice or tips? I was also wondering if i should insulate the walls to it. Outdoor tempts here can reach 112' in the summer so the garage may be pretty dang hot. I will have an AC unit in the rooms so insulation might be required. If anyone has any knowledge or experience there that would be a great help.
Any chance you have central A/C within the house? If so, and if you have access to the ductwork that could be a nice option. You could always get a portable A/C with vents to the outside. I was looking at a dryer vent installation guide online this morning, and they put holes in a brick siding to run 5" pipe out of. They actually ran the 4" exhaust through that 5" pipe and used spray foam insulation. I would first get an idea where you want to vent the air to. I think ideally you want to get it filtered and outside somehow. Sorry I have no actual experience with this though. But what you are doing is my dream one day haha, my own house... I would portable A/C it out the side of the house, through heavy duty filters of course, dont want the smell wafting to your neighbours in the breeze.
