Plan to get MMJ

    ok, so a friend of mine a few years older than me got his medical card. The thing is, we live in michigan, a place where the rules suck with MMJ and you need a caregiver and there are no dispensaries. But what my friend did is he rented out a house with some friends in cali for a summer. They became residents of cali and then got their mmj card. They then moved back home to michigan and according to section J on here .....
    Michigan Legislature - Section 333.26424
    ....you are still able to use medical marijuana even if your licensed in another state. So I was thinking of doing this or going to one of two clinics in michigan that I know about.. One is in detroit and one is in the UP so im not sure how well it would go because I think the number of people they have prescribed is a small number, not really a cali like place.

    Couple of things wrong with your plan here.

    The two bolded parts:
    1) You have to get the STATE issued ID card as the statute is written - a regular recommendation will not cover you.

    2) You have to be VISITING Michigan, not live there.

    So what your buddies are doing is clearly illegal, and would be the same for you.
