Plain And Simple - Will She Live?

  1. I got to this problem way later than I would have ever been comfortable with. I worked on this baby in veg for way too long. I know I can just wait a few days and find out myself, but some of the leafs still have some life, some are a bit crunchy. I have one node that seems to have been unaffected and looks perfectly normal too. I decided to flush her today and clean the res and restore everything to normal. I know I could just wait a couple days and find out myself, just want to know if she is gonna make it.

For what it's worth, she was laid out flat, and I corrected it two days ago, but the PH was still going up and down like crazy, so I flushed today. She was almost touching the ground and seems she grew up a little bit and started to come through the screen a little.

I know it looks a mess, but lesson learned.

  2. From past experiences, I know that that the one little guy will live, I suppose it's just a salvage mission at this point.

  3. It looks like a waiting game too Me. I've seen plants go through some crazy stuff and live. But You said some of the leaves are crunchy? Did You miss a couple water days? Is the room getting too hot?

  4. Room temps are fine, crunchy like they are dead, where as others are just wilty as hell and then you have that trooper leaf that clearly didn't get the message at ALL.

It was honestly just a PH issue, everything else I know how to keep in check with past grows, Her Res was full at all times. It just through me, so fucking used to soil man, this hydro shit is on a whole different level.

  5. I honestly think at this point is worst case, everything dies except the trooper, and I loose a month or more trying to grow him into something. I am really hoping that the worst case isn't total devastation.

  6. Well I'll hope the best for You. Let Me know how this goes.

  7. Yeah, I will post daily pics for everyone and myself, just to see the progress. Gonna get her trimmed up when I get home from work and get rid of all the dead fan leaves. If I could only take a 50% loss I would be so happy. I refuse to fail at my first hydro grow.

  8. Yeah, other than this problem it looks like You had a nice beggining with hydro. Something I definitely want to try.

  9. I just wanted to hear someone say "I have seen plants come back from that" so I know it isn't impossible. So much more difficult than Soil.

  10. Well put it this way... If a 5 foot plant can recover from being cut down and only leaving a 6inch branch to revegg is common, then I say You have a nice chance. Does that help? Haha. I had a two week old seedling (probably two weeks) snap in half. It was still connected but the top half fell side by side to the bottom half. I slidea straw over it to hold it up, it grew back together within like a week.

  11. Yeah, I just need to be patient, the one little soldier gives me help, just worked so hard for over a month to get her healthy and green, 3 days into flowering and this happens.

  12. Well like I said, I'm hoping the best for You. Maybe start another seed?

Good luck and have a good day.

  13. Went in and cleaned her up, killed everything without hope, turns out there was a solid dozen green nodes, inspired hope, only downside is her PH is fluctuating like fucking crazy, checking every four hours.

  14. Are You giving her a set pH or just checking it every now and then?

  15. I am checking and adjusting as needed. I am basically putting it back down to 5.8 to come back and see it climbed. I don't know if this is normal.

  16. You might develop mold before they recover. Keep looking out.

  17.
I set it and walk away, a wonky meter can have you chaising your tail all over the place.

My secret method is to not test. Like once a month and when making top off soup.

I had tried that method and that's what lead to this when I checked and the PH was barely 4.0. I think just checking up on here daily could have helped prevented that. Once I have her out of the clear I think I will settle down, right now it's still keep her from dying time.

  19. So It looks like she has couple of little green growths coming out of random branches. Hoping this a good sign, we will see if she goes anywhere.
