  1. What do you think, the basement or the attic? Anyone Grow in the Attic? Looks like it would be a good spot to grow some major mj

  2. Attic grows can be very tough to control temps. In the winter your grow space most likely will be freezing, and in the summer it will be broiling, depending where you are. I gave up on my attic grow op for that reason.

  3. Shit, I was afraid someone would say that. It was kinda chilly when I went up there, but it looks like i'd be the perfect low key spot to grow.

  4. Anyone have sucess growing in an attic.

  5. nope heat is too outstanding when it comes around summer...

i grow in my basement, its a constant temp, and humidity...

    works for me..

""also i'f you're parents don't kno, and if they have legal issues already, i suggest you don't grow in you're parents house..."

...its bad enough without their permission.... cause one day they might go up // down their and see it... and ""Possibly"" kick you out//punish you...

anyways good luck to what ever you do  :D

  6. i tend to get a little paranoid when growing, but if u grow in the attic, a helicopter with the right infrared equipment could notice the heat in the winter. Id say grow in a basement if u can. Get or make a room if ur basement isnt finished and put a lock on it. Get all the righ duct work and if anyone goes down there, tell them that it was the old furnace or sumthing so the old owner locked it up since it looked unpleasant.lol i dunno. just sum bullshit story i thought of.

  7. basement
the temps are regular and no one could dee the heat from detectors
also there is most likly a exhaust vent down there already

  8. Some basements are damp and can promote mold.

You can grow in the attic, even if your ambient temps go cold and hot, if you build a grow box in the attic and wrap it in insulation then air condition and heat it. Without that the temp range will be too much.

  9. My basement is chilly and damp and although its a finished basement I am sure the humidity is high. I could heat it but would cost a fortune.. I leave the thermostat around 50 all year around. I grow in a office converted from a bedroom and use the closet. For a few days around xmas, my sister will be visiting and i will have to relocate my clone operation to the basement as my office will be in a 12/12 light schedule. Growing full time? Not sure but will be following this thread as summer spring and summer will be way too warm upstairs in my office and will have to consider an alternate area. The 400w lights put out alot of heat.

  10. I had heat problems with my last grow so I bought this cool moisture mister and it worked great plus is kept the soil moister longer. i cant think of who made it but i bought it in home depot.

  11. the humidity in my basement was at 100%, but after i left my plants and lights down their the humidity dropped to 65% and has not moved since... and it is a constant temp of 15C....

good luck to what ever you do....
