Pitchin's Modest Photos

Discussion in 'The Artist's Corner' started by pitchin, Jan 20, 2010.

  1. In my spare time, and/or whenever I feel like carrying my S5/IS around, I take pictures. Mostly, I love outdoors and nature stuff. I've had these on my computer for a while, and have decided a picture isn't any good if anyone isn't lookin at it. So here's some shots I've taken over my wanderings. Sorry about the large size, I can make them half that size if it's an issue. Hope you enjoy at least a few.

This picture was actually taken from THE highest row in AT&T Park. Nosebleeds are cheap, and you still get to walk around where everyone else does anyway.

It's not saying much, but I think this is my best macro pic. I like it.

It's funny to see these ducks every summer. Wherever there's a male duck, there's usually a female duck he is whipped-ly following, just quacking her brains out. Looks like humans aren't the only ones :p

Powder Works Covered Bridge. Over 100 years old, still used daily.

Thanks for droppin in and takin a look :D. I haven't been taking as many photos recently, because I find that if I'm looking for just a good picture, I'm ignoring a part of the experience of going out and getting away and hiking. It's easy for me to get "tunnel vision", and besides, no picture can do justice or shake a stick at just looking at things yourself, being there and taking it in with every sense, not just looking at a very small part of the whole. I'm not bashing photography in any way (I like it, I appreciate it), it's just a personal belief.
