I'm not seeing evidence of any Nitrogen "burn"? - according to the pictures...I find its hard/damn near impossible to burn when using "gentle" items like comfrey. One thing I would be leery of would be sealing organic soil up too tightly (lids & duct tape) - while it's great keeping it moist, organic soil still needs to breathe... But then again I have no experience with lids so I'll be I interested in seeing how it works. J
Sounds great J! Thank you! I'll throw a handful or two of the comfrey (dried nettle leaves as well) in with the top dress. Should have time to mix something together later today!
The bacteria in the castings break down the plant matter very quickly when you mix them together like that - you get the benefits of both mulch and quick fertilizer at the same time. I've been doing this for the last year or so and it works really well. Nice garden. J
Well I bit the bullet in the pursuit of a decently priced starter errl rig. http://www.grasscity.com/us_en/black-leaf-oil-fixed-circ-perc-vapor-bubbler-dome-stainless-steel-nail-and-slide-bowl.html
Yea GC is kind of insane when it comes to shipping times. Pete man should have just hit me up, I know a couple local places that are getting into Oil Rig. Okkee Dokey is one is RI, and he's the most knowledgeable on the subject.
\tRight fellers! I know... Been there with GC before. It was a panic decision. Not real happy with it, but I checked out the local scene and it was horrible! \t \tHaG'man, had I only known. I put the word out, but not here. \t \tAlright squid...
Here is phase one of my organic pesticide: Which I had to implement today after getting a few rootings back from an "outsider" *Take heed to the dust mask warning on the powdered soap nut*
More like who...Homeskillet being my buddy, and rossy being a good friend of mine! Veteran stoner...WTF is that?
