Pipes... Pros & Cons

    I've recently started using a pipe because its suppose to be healthier than roll-up. Rollups have toxins and chemicals in them that can lead to cancer. Pipes bongs and vaporizers are the other alternatives. and all of them are strictly marijuana smoke so its suppose to be a healthier and cleaner high.

    I think a pipe is a good choice because u can carry it with you, if you have the keychain pipe that i have, which i bought from grasscity shops.

    I just hate the brown residue though, can anyone explain what that is?

    Also, How often are you suppose to change your screen?:smoking:

    I love pipes just because I am out alot and sometimes I just wanna take a hit when I am sitting in my car or whatever. Anyway, the brown residue is just the burnt weed sticking to the sides, and you should change your screen when it starts to burn through, at least thats when i do it.

    If your screen gets all black and shit it can make your pipe hard to draw on so what I do is take it out and then burn it and it burns all the shit off it so it's re-usable. It saves your screens and you can use them for longer.

    Anyway I think pipes are great because they have their own patterns and names and shit which you can't get from a joint. Pipes are cool and they taste so good when you have some fresh bud and a newly cleaned pipe.

    The brown residue is just that shitty resin that is off your bud because you've burnt and smoked it. You can smoke this stuff but it tastes like your dad's ass so I wouldn't.

    Pipes are damn cool though, I have 2 and plan to get a few more.

    and on pipes...imo I think they are the classiest thing to smoke out of, not a fan of them though.

    pros- uses less weed than joints or blunts
    cons- paraphernalia charges can sometimes fuck you over. if you got a blunt or joint... eat that shit! you cant eat a bowl

    Can anyone tell me if the screens from grasscity are any good? I usually don't use a screen, but some of my friends seem to always get a bit of ash in their throats.

    As said above, pipes can draw ash and are said to be really harsh hits.

    with a pipe you dont gotta worry about smoking the paper. and like they said, less weed used.

    IMO if u want healthy get a vaporizer lol. better high, more bang for your buck (get like 80+pct of the THC rather then like 20pct from a joint? not sure what it is from a bowl, probably the same or close.)

    pros: use little weed, can scrape for resin balls when dry
    cons: less mobile, harder to smoke in public places compared to a j.

    For real? I don't understand, can't you just lie and say you use it for tobacco?

    Man sometimes the law can be a bitch, you buy something completely legal to buy, but if the cops see you with it, your fucked?!?!

    Firstly, the piece wont smell like tobacco but resin lol so that'll foil that plan.

    Secondly, their legal to buy because the places that sell them, sell them for tobacco use 'only', as you'll probably see a sign or something saying that in the local head shop. Or they'll just label them tobacco pipes lol.

    Though they'll try to bust you with paraphernalia even if u just had papers and a bag of weed, as long as you had some tobacco with ya you can more than likely get that taken down to just possession.



    So all in all, play it safe keep the bowls and bongs at home. Smoke joints while away.

    I like pipes cuz they're portable, fast and easy. There's like 0 preparation, and they fit in your pocket, as well as hard to break.
    And in terms of screens, you can buy like 12 for $2. Or invest in a glass screen which is like a dollar, they're great.

    Yeahh u really do use a LOT less weed than when you roll up. Also, when you go to smoke you can just take ur bud and pipe outside or to the basement or w.e and keep refilling until ur satisfied :smoking:

    Well for pipes they do have those metal one hitters that look like cigarettes and I've used one that I had and I was never stopped by police and people even asked me if I had extra cigarettes.

    EDIT:  The version I got let's you pack a long bowl but it burns nice and slow and doesn't really cherry.
