Pinching/Supercropping Update

  1. Hello Grasscity,

I got some advice on training my plants that were getting a little tall, heres a link to the thread for rookies who may have the same questions. I only bent the stems that were getting too close to the light.

None the less here are some pictures of pre and post pinching so you can kinda see what it looks like. I will be the first to say the little "snap" sound was a bit frightening and made me pee just a little bit. But we will all soon see the outcome. Thanks for all the help from all of my new friends here at Grasscity.

  2. Youre welcome but remember those tips are soon going to be growing upwards

  3. Dude this is exactly what I wanted to see on here. GC rocks. Ask and ye shall receive.

I'm LSTing right now but I'm a couple weeks into 12/12 stretch and it's not doing the trick so I think this is my next option. Did you tie down after the pinch to keep the branch even with the rest of the canopy? Does this stunt growth at all in the long run or just temporarily?

Thanks for posting this chopperhead  now go change your pee pants lol

  4. I thought pinching was supposed to be done in veg not flower? If not, dammit, I missed my time table to do that. My sativa is about to hit the ceiling lol. Only saving grace for me is with the fan blowing at the lights, I can touch the bulbs and theres little/no heat.

Gonna check out the tread you linked to read through the advice.

  5. it can be done during flowering but its best not to because it stresses the plant and it waste energy repairing itself instead of bud production

  6. A little pee never hurt anything. :) I had to bend a plant yesterday, one a friend gave me and was gonna be way to damned tall for my space. It has been in flower for 13 days and I bent it damned near 130 degrees downward and tied it down. This morning when the lights came on I went to see its progress and it has turned up and headed for the light already. Its gonna be a funky looking girl when all said and done.

  7. This should be done during flowering is right but, I sadly did not. I just just gently twisted the stem or cola, whatever its called back and fourth till a little snap was heard. now that they have been bent for a few days the buds are finding their way upwards again. Now I'ts the 6 week waiting game.
