Pimp Grow (need advice)

    Is 30-50% humidity bad
    with the temps in the mid 80's
    for a seed thats just starting out?

    What should I be shooting for?

    Is a 400W mh too close if its
    about 18" - 24" away from plants?
    Its sunshine warm to the touch when i place my hand
    to the same elevation the plants are at.
    Takes about a full day for the top soil to get completely dried with no sign of moisture. So watering every 2 days would be pretty good... i think

    Still able to maintain temps mentioned above.
    Thanks 4 ur help all and hope to hear from u all soon!!
    And remember, these are just germinated seedlings... Any changes I may need
    should be disclosed at this time as I wouldnt want to kill my 8 new babies

    the humidity looks good for veging.
    the temp also looks good.

    nothing against your advice chimera, just trying to consider multiple opinions...

    Any of you guys think that my grow op will suffice for 8 white widows.
    Imma put them into flowering when they get to 15"

    Get an 18 inch string and duck tape it to the reflector and use that as your guide for light distance. When the plants touch the string, raise your light up an inch. Start at about 24 inches for a few days though. But dont rely soley on this guide. It's a good guide to go by, but the only way you can tell for sure is by watching the plants grow and what they look like.

    thanks whodi, yea im wondering what you all think of the space though. Ive spent nearly a 1k just getting this setup... its only 2.5x4.5x8ft big

    And I have miracle grow soil!!!


    Going to pick up some foxFarm organic soil today and dump this Mg crap out before i plant em today!!

    All of my white widows i got from dr chronic germinated...!

    What kind of FoxFarm soil should i pick up today?? I am going to leave to get it in about 2 hours so i need your recommendations asap!!! Thankks n ill get pics up regularly of ur recommendations!

    The only types of Foxfarm soil I know of is the Ocean Forest, which I'm using now, and Light Warrior which I believe is a soiless medium. The Ocean Forest has guano in it so it could potentially burn seedlings. However, it's harder to burn plants with organics.

    I would probably get something without any nutes in it for seedlings and then Ocean Forest for later vegging and flowering.

    I'm using foxfarm Ocean organic. My plants are 14 days into veggie and they seem to be doing well. I notice no nute burn or anything.

    Having water ABOVE your lights isn't a good idea, and may be conducive to lack of rep.

    I picked up the soil and i have pics below of my germinating white widows. I sowed em all today and got rid of that nasty miracle grow i was going to use... I sowed some of em like 1/2'' deep and sprinkled little soil so u cant see any of the seed in the soil...

    Hope you guys like em!
    Stay posted with this forum. Ill update regularly.

    here are some more...

    the soil i picked up is sooo good... it has bat guano, earthworm castings, some algae, mychorrizae (promotes thick ass stocks) and humic acid... i missed out a few but its all organic and its texture kicks ass...
    i made a 3 to 1 with some perlite so im certain that my plants have the nutrients AND the oxygen they need for healthy growth...

    the previous picture with the germinating seeds are now 1/2'' under the soil. I watered the pots with about 20 oz of water.
    How long is it going to take to actually see the plant!??!?
